Host a One-day Workshop or an 8 Week Class at Your Home, Office, Club House, Church or Other Local Community Room
Would you like to host a one-day Positive Discipline Workshop or 8 week Positive Discipline Parenting class in your home town? We have Positive Discipline Professionals who would love to come to you!
Positive Discipline’s in-home workshops are as much fun as they are educational. Our Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educators will teach you and your guests simple and effective parenting tools to become better parents no matter how busy your lives are. They utilize a combination of experiential activities, role-playing, demonstrations, and humor to better educate participants on how to handle the daily stresses of dealing with behavior challenges. There is no job more important in the world than being a good parent, and because children do not come with directions when they were born, wouldn’t it be great to receive some additional help and guidance?
When you are excited about hosting a Positive Discipline class or workshop, your enthusiasm is contagious! What is a host, and what are the responsibilities of a host? A host is someone who invites his or her friends, family, neighbors, group members, and others into their home, or another location, where everyone can gather to have fun and learn some valuable techniques taught by a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. As the host, your workshop fees are waived!
In-Home Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 paid participants.
- A space large enough to seat 12 people in a circle or semi-circle with room in the center for experiential activities. (Remember, we are going to get everyone involved in this workshop, so dress in comfy clothes).
- Light refreshments are suggested for you and your guests for the first meeting, but not required. As a hostess, you may want to organize a box lunch for your guests.
Other Location Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 paid participants willing to pay the workshop fee (per a flyer that will be provided to you to distribute to your friends and acquaintances, or to post in public places).
- When you have 15 committed participants, we would like 21-45 days notice to post the workshop location and date on our web site to allow for others in your home town to come to the workshop, too.
- Help finding an inexpensive location in a room that holds at least 30-50 seated people in a large circle with room in the center for activities.

Cancellation Policy:
If a paid registrant withdraws 30 or more days prior to the start of a workshop, a full refund will be granted. If a paid registrant withdraws less than 30 prior to the start of a workshop, a refund will not be granted but their registration can be transferred to another workshop.
If a workshop facilitator finds it necessary to cancel a workshop, then individuals will have the option of transferring their registration to another workshop, or receiving a full reimbursement. The method of reimbursement will be consistent with the original payment method.
